Fair questions
Straight answers, no fine print surprises.
Does it post the listing for me?
No. Marketplaces don't let apps post on your behalf — that's their rule, for every app. Market Tag Mate hands you ready-to-paste copy and your photos in order, plus direct links to each site's posting page, so posting takes about a minute per site.
Does it make things up?
No. It only uses your plate, your notes, and the factory specs you approve. It never invents condition, history, or features — and known issues you disclose are stated honestly, because transparent listings sell faster.
What can I sell with it?
Anything with a VIN, HIN, serial number, model plate, or equipment tag — bikes, sleds, boats, ATVs, side-by-sides, trailers, RVs, mowers, farm and commercial equipment, and more.
Where can I post it?
Facebook Marketplace, Kijiji (Canada), Craigslist, eBay, OfferUp (US), Nextdoor — the finished listing pastes anywhere in North America. The app shows the right sites for your country.
What does it cost?
Your first listing is free — no card needed. After that, every plan is a set number of finished listings, not an endless subscription: a Listing Pack is $11.99 for 3 listings (one-time, no subscription), and a top-up adds 2 more listings for $7.99. Prefer a subscription? Quarterly is $19.99 for 6 listings every 3 months; Annual is $69.99 for 24 listings a year (best value). Both Pro plans include unlimited Tag Value while active; unused listings don't roll over. Prices shown in CAD; US customers are charged in USD at checkout.
When does a listing get used up?
Only when you tap Generate and get a finished listing package. Starting a listing, skipping optional photos, retaking a shot, or leaving before you finish never uses a credit.
What's the refund policy?
Pro plans renew automatically until you cancel, and unused listings don't roll over to the next period. We don't offer refunds — if you cancel before the next renewal, you keep access until the end of your current period. Full details are in the Terms.
Where do my photos go?
They stay in your browser while you build the listing — there's no account and we don't store them on a server. Save them to your phone from the listing screen before you leave. The one exception: photos you choose to run through an AI step (like the plate read) are sent to the AI service just long enough to get the result.
Is my VIN or serial number shown in the ad?
No. The plate photo is kept in your own photo set for your records and for decoding, but it's never added to the listing or the posting photo order — a public VIN invites cloning scams.
Is the price estimate a real valuation?
No — it's a rough AI ballpark from your details, not market data or an appraisal. Check a couple of local listings before you set your price. You always type the final price yourself.
Can I talk instead of type?
Yes — on the notes step, tap the mic and describe the machine like you're telling a buddy. It transcribes and tidies your words without changing the facts.
